July 2008- I asked my three year old boy to help me wash our family dog, a 65 pound bulldog/pit bull mix. My son put his hands on either side of the dog’s enormous head and ran energy. The dog closed his eyes and relaxed, even as I wet and lathered him, scrubbed him and then rinsed him with cold hose water. The dog outweighs my son by more than 30 pounds, and he wasn’t tied up or restrained in any way during his bath… just those little hands running energy through his head. As soon as my son took his hands away, the dog ran into the yard to roll and shake himself dry.
